I’m Lee Cuddis, and this is the story of my path from the unraveling of certainty to deep shamanic initiation, and how I now help others find true presence.

The Catalyst

15 years ago, my life unravelled in a way I never saw coming. What I once believed to be stable and secure fell apart rapidly, like a line of dominoes collapsing one after another. It wasn’t just the events themselves that shook me—it was the sudden and profound realisation of how vulnerable life truly is. In a single moment, everything can change.

Yet within that vulnerability, something unexpected revealed itself: possibility. If everything could fall apart, then everything could also be rebuilt—consciously, intentionally, and in alignment with something deeper. That moment marked the beginning of a journey, not just of recovery, but of awakening.

The Path

I was drawn first into the world of personal development and trained as a life coach, seeking to understand the mechanics of the mind and how we navigate challenge, trauma, and change. While this gave me a strong foundation, I began to sense that true healing did not come solely from thinking differently—it came from experiencing life differently.

There was a deeper layer calling.

Through my wife’s connection to the teachings of mindfulness and our time spent at Plum Village, I was introduced to the simplicity and power of presence. Walking, breathing, and being fully here became more than practices—they became doorways into a different way of living.

But it was through my shamanic training that everything truly began to shift.

I undertook a three-year initiatory training as a shamanic practitioner with Second Sight Healing, a path rooted in ancient traditions that honour the deep relationship between human beings, the natural world, and the unseen realms of spirit. This was not a training in techniques alone—it was an initiation into a way of being.

Shamanism, at its core, is about remembering our place within the web of life.

It recognises that many of the struggles we face—whether emotional, mental, or even physical—can arise when we become disconnected: from ourselves, from the earth, from our purpose, or from the deeper rhythms that sustain us. Rather than seeing these struggles as problems to be fixed, shamanic practice views them as signalsmessages calling us back into balance.

Through this work, I have learned to listen in a different way.

To listen not only to words, but to what lies beneath them. To the body, to the energy, to the patterns that shape a person’s experience. This way of working invites a deeper level of awareness, where transformation does not come from force but from reconnection.

Nature plays a central role in this process. The earth is not simply a backdrop to our lives—it is an active participant in our healing. When we slow down enough to truly meet it, something begins to shift. We remember that we are not separate, but part of something vast, intelligent, and alive.

The Practice

In my work today, I create space for people to step out of the noise of modern life and into that deeper relationship. This may involve grounding practices, working with the breath, connecting to the land, or exploring the inner landscapes that shape our outer reality. Each session is guided intuitively, meeting the individual exactly where they are.

While I have developed approaches such as the Halo Method—a gentle, embodied practice rooted in mindful walking and presence—these are simply expressions of a much deeper foundation. The essence of my work remains grounded in shamanic awareness: in presence, connection, and the restoration of balance.

This path is not about quick fixes or surface-level change.

It is about transformation at the level of being.

It is for those who feel the call to go deeper—who sense that there is more to life than simply getting through the day and who are ready to reconnect with something more real, more grounded, and more true.

My own journey has shown me that healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering what has always been there—beneath the noise, beneath the conditioning, beneath the distractions.

When we return to that place, we begin to walk through life differently.

With more presence. With more clarity. And with a deeper connection to ourselves, to others, and to the living world around us.
