Feeling lost?
The feeling you don't have words for yet

Most people who come to me can't quite name what's wrong. Nothing is broken, exactly. Something just isn't settled. Something deep inside is missing or hasn't been found yet.

The low hum of dread

The low hum of dread

You function. You cope. You get through the week and nobody would guess. But underneath there's a background noise you can't switch off, and somewhere along the way you stopped expecting it to lift on its own.

Tired in a way sleep won't fix

Tired in a way sleep won't fix

You've optimised the routine, cut the caffeine, taken the holiday. And still the tiredness sits somewhere sleep can't reach, in a place a good night's rest was never going to touch.

You've already talked it through

You've already talked it through

You've done the talking, and it helped. Then it seemed to stop reaching. You've started to sense that whatever you're carrying lives somewhere words haven't quite been able to go.

Carrying something you've never set down

Carrying something you've never set down

There's something you've carried so long it feels like part of you now. You've never fully put it into words. You just know you'd like to set it down for a while, in a place where nobody's rushing you.

You're not sure you believe in any of this

You're not sure you believe in any of this

You're not sure about spirits, energy, or any of it, and that's completely fine. You're not here for a belief system. You came because something in you wanted to slow down and actually look.

Something's shifting and you can't name it

Something's shifting and you can't name it

Lately the old answers have stopped fitting. You catch yourself wanting something you don't yet have the words for. It doesn't feel like a breakdown. If anything, it feels like a beginning.

If even one of these sounded like you, that's usually reason enough to start a conversation.

What shamanic healing is — and what it isn't

Shamanic healing is one of the oldest forms of care we have. Long before we had words like therapy or mindfulness, people sat together in a quiet place, used rhythm and breath to soften the everyday mind, and listened to what was underneath. That's still the work. The drum, the smoke and the yurt aren't decoration — they're the tools that make the listening possible.

In a session with me, you don't need to perform anything or believe anything in advance. We talk first, so I understand what brought you here. Then I guide you into a light, waking state — closer to deep rest than to sleep — held by slow drumming. From there, images, memories and feelings tend to surface in their own order. My job is to hold the space, follow what arrives, and help you make sense of it afterwards in plain language.

People come to me for very ordinary reasons: a decision they can't make, grief that hasn't moved, a version of themselves they've lost touch with. What they take away is usually not a dramatic revelation but something steadier — clarity about what matters, and a sense of being back in their own life rather than watching it.

hi, I'm Lee Cuddis

I aim to help others stay true to themselves amidst societal pressures. Through a thoughtfully designed process, I guide individuals to rediscover their sovereign selves, delve into their spirituality, and reshape their perspectives.

I've been practising since 2011. I studied mindfulness at Plum Village, the monastery founded by Thich Nhat Hanh, and trained in shamanic healing with Second Sight Healing. Everything I offer comes out of those two roots: the stillness of one, the listening of the other. I work from a Mongolian yurt near Billingshurst, and I've now sat with more than a hundred people in it.

FAQ
01

How is shamanic healing different from therapy or counselling?

Shamanic healing and therapy can both provide a space for reflection and personal change, but they approach that process differently. Therapy and counselling generally work through conversation, psychological frameworks and therapeutic approaches. They may focus on thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships and past experiences. Shamanic healing approaches these experiences from a spiritual and holistic perspective. It may involve practices such as drumming, guided journeying, ritual, meditation and working with spiritual or ancestral symbolism. Ancient Voices does not present shamanic healing as a replacement for therapy, counselling or medical treatment. Some people may find that the approaches complement one another, while others may feel that one is more appropriate for where they are in life.
